Since “Inspiration” is (or should be) the theme this week. . . what is your reading inspired by?
Before I discovered the world of book blogs, I would’ve said my moods. I just read whatever struck my fancy at any given time. However, since I’ve become active as a book blogger, the answer to this question is more complicated. Now I read primarily for the challenges I’m involved in. This is not a bad thing. I’ve yet to endure a book I just hate; in fact, I’m pretty sure I’ll never do that. I just can’t imagine reading something I have no stomach for just to fulfill an obligation. Right now I am reading books for the Semicolon Book Club and various 5 Minutes for Books challenges, not to mention my own rather copious TBR list. In January I have also participated in the L.M. Montgomery Reading Challenge, and I might even try to squeeze in another L.M. Montgomery novel before the month’s end. I like having direction in my reading. It gives me a goal and a reason to persevere through the dry patches. Anyway, if I ever run out of the aforementioned books to read, there’s always my More Books Mondays lists!

Most of my reading this year is going to be for challenges, too. I’ve found challenges are a great way to keep myself reading and away from the TV screen. Which, as you say, is not a bad thing.
I’ve signed up for 5 challenges. I do enjoy them. Happy BTT.
Yeah, I wasn’t sure how to answer this quesiton at first but I think it’s a GREAT one! One of the best BTT’s I’ve seen yet!
Reading Challenges – now there is some inspiration! =D I can’t wait to see if you DO manage to squeeze in another LMM book before the end of the month!
I tend to makes plans out of what I am going to read before hand. It gives me direction too.
