I didn't know about Crystal's Money Saving Blog. I'll have to check it out! I am usually on the alert for sales when I'm in the store although I'm not very good at searching the ads. We have an Aldi's here too, but it seems like the prices have gone up as the grocery store around the corner's prices have dropped. There are some things that I always used to buy at Aldi's that I need to stock back up on!

Thanks for you comment on my rolls. I hope they work well for you!

LOL! :) This post and comments reminds me of buying ketchup and SunMaid (brand) raisins on sale at Rite-Aid pharmacy (for cheaper than Aldi's price)! The only problem is that Rite-Aid isn't used to people wanting to come in and buy 15 boxes of raisins... their shelves for food stuff are only stocked with about 5 of each thing! So we have to ask for assistance to get more. ;)

Just stopped by after your comment on my blog.

It's a great idea to think outside the box when shopping. We have different stores here in Australia but the idea is still a useful one.

God Bless,

The only thing I'm looking to stock up on is flour and butter. I buy it and freeze to use throughout the year. I don't bake very much because then I eat too much of it. I say its for the family but in reality...it ends up on my hips!

Hi :)

I'm here from Tammy's Recipes. We also have a full-time income and a VERY part-time income too... all the while trying to stretch those dollars!

Thanks for the tips about baking supplies at Walgreens. I have been faithfully reading Crystal's new blog also... but just haven't taken the plunge yet to do the CVS/Walgreens thing. It just seems complicated. And I am low on learning time!

I have made a commitment to my hubby that I will be cooking from scratch more, just as a money saver.

Thanks for the Walgreens idea! It is odd thinking of buying baking powder and coconut from a drug store... But I am very willing to think outside the box in order to stay home more and work outside the home less! I'm off to check it out now!

Congrats on the new blog! Nice header :)

We're always stocking up! :o) But I have been watching the specials prices carefully for baking items and other items that are much cheaper this time of year. It's a great way for saving, isn't it? Thanks for the nice comment you left on my kitchen tip post.

Great Blog Amy! love that photo header! I STILL am trying to figure out mine! I totally know what you mean about unlikely places for bargains! We have an Aldi's here too. I'll add you to my favorites since I feel like you know our family...the good and the bead! LOL! I'll have the bows in the mail soon!
